Comapping AIR goes commercial!

After a while running a free beta program, we decided that Comapping AIR BETA reached the production quality. Therefore the product is turning commercial from this point. Please check our Desktop page for the pricing information, and hope to welcome you as a Desktop Customer!

  1. Above and beyond the subscription fee?

It seems to me that there’s not much it’s bringing to the table to justify the 99USD.

I’ve always perceived the desktop client [and I may be alone in this] as a value added to the strong service offering.

It’s only going to get easier to convert flash-based web applications to Adobe Air for desktop use. Guess it’s browser-based for me from here on out.

  2. Thanks for the comment, our reasoning is that the desktop license is perpetual while the online one is time-based. This is why we have this difference. When this is taken into account, the prices seem fair to us.

  3. Actually, I am happy to pay. I find I am using Comapping regularly and, if a little extra financial encourages the ongoing development, that can only be good news.
So, I just paid the $99 and got stung by the extra 25% Sales Tax. I am based in the UK and our VAT is 15% so I guess I’ve been overcharged.
Next point. As a Brit who is supporting through his wallet, would it be too much to ask for some regional settings? It would be nice to have dates in the (may I say) more logical dd/mm/yy format šŸ˜‰

    • Simon, I am sorry for the confusion, and while we’re clarifying how much tax we should charge, I will simply refund you the difference anyway.

As for date format, ok will work on it.
